Betta Fish Feeding Guide
Giving food to Betta fish should be done carefully so as to make sure they have a long healthy life. In the wild, Betta fish feed on zooplankton, which includes crustaceans, bloodworms and other small animals or insects such as flies, or grasshoppers. Make an effort to use more than one of the choices below. It is significantly healthier for your Betta to have a good amount of variety in their diet. Even different kinds of commercial foods will help with variety.
Betta Feeding Manual - Quantity of food
When feeding Betta, be certain not to feed them too much. Adult Bettas should be fed no more than one time each day, and Betta fries should be fed two times per day. A good rule to have while dispensing food to Bettas is to dispense no more food than they can eat within two minutes. If there is still food floating around after 2-3 minutes, it is likely that it will drop to the bottom of the tank and may soon create bacteria that has the potential to hurt your Betta fish.
